Module 1: General Standard Information & Handling Learning Objectives
- Identify scope and purpose of IPC-A-610 standard
- Navigate IPC-A-610 using table of contents and index
- Recognize product classification
- Recognize target, acceptable, process indicator, and defect conditions
- Differentiate between System International (SI) and Imperial English Unit of measurement
- Identify order of precedence
- Understand how to use magnification tables
- Explain how to handle electronic assemblies to minimize or prevent electrostatic discharge
Module 2: IPC-610 Overview Learning Objectives

This course is designed for operators, technicians, and other assembly line staff that need to effectively locate and apply the criteria set forth in IPC-A-610 Acceptabilty of Electronics Assemblies.
IPC offers different instructional modalities to suit participants with different needs and preferences. This program is available in the following modalities:
Online-self-paced: Participants can access course materials on the IPC EDGE Learning Management System at any time and complete them at their own pace. However, organizations may set completion deadlines, as well as monitor the progress of the participants they register for a course.
Face-to-face Instructor Led (F2F): Instructors can stream course materials from the IPC EDGE Learning Management System at any time for presentation to a group of participants in a classroom setting. Participants receive access to the same version of the course in order to take assessments and follow along with the lesson if desired by the instructor or organization.
Face-to-face Instructor Led courses may only be purchased and taught by Certified IPC Trainers (CIT).
